I'm currently working on MLA 3.0 for a while now. I finally decided to release a preview version.
MLA 3.0 introduces the following enhancements:
- The engine uses an opening book.
- You can now select the engine version to play against (1.9, 2.5.5, 3.0...).
- A lot more game start-up positions are available for fun, including the famous user defined variations.
- The application menu has been redesigned.
- The way moves can be entered has been changed to be easier and faster to use.
- The game window has been rewritten, you can now create/save/load games, variations and analysis in an easier manner.
- The opening book can be freely browsed, you can preview the book moves or pick one as your move in the current game.
- You can know set your application preferences to be reused the next time you use MLA.
- MLA now uses a lot less memory to run properly.
- MLA is now Windows Vista and XP compatible, and has been ported to the .NET Framework 3.0

- MLA is freeware, feel free to download, copy and distribute.
- MLA's source code is not available to the general public.
- To use MLA you need to register. To register, send the computer id displayed by MLA and I'll give you a serial number.
