MLA 3.0 introduces the following enhancements:

Engine enhancements

• The engine uses an opening book.
• You can now select the engine version to play against (1.9, 2.5.5, 3.0...).

User interface

• A lot more game start-up positions are available for fun, including the famous user defined variations.
• The application menu has been redesigned.
• The way moves can be entered has been changed to be easier and faster to use.
• The game window has been rewritten, you can now create/save/load games, variations and analysis in an easier manner

• The opening book can be freely browsed, you can preview the book moves or pick one as your move in the current game.

• You can know set your application preferences to be reused the next time you use MLA.

System requirements

• MLA now uses a lot less memory to run properly.
• MLA is now Windows Vista and XP compatible, and has been ported to the .NET Framework 3.0
